At Mindful Start, we strive to help parents positively encourage mind-body awareness so their children can self-regulate and handle big emotions (without breaking a sweat)!



We include a combination of positive parenting tools, non-violent communication, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Your child may be anxious and not even know it! Today, anxiety and depression among young children is increasing. Part of the reason is because in the past children were under diagnosed; however, when children receive the tools to increase their EI (Emotional Intelligence) they are able to mindfully handle their big emotions (even when they are glued to their screens!) SEL is the most important foundation in a world that has 300,000 children between the ages of 2-5 suffering from depression and anxiety. Children with these skills are more likely to "graduate from school and get a full-time job" (Alexis Clark, MA, MS).
